I have been fortunate enough to have known Vicki (or VBH as she is know in the industry) for many years now, because she used to work/film a TV show with my now ex-husband.
And the minute I met her I adored her. She's 100% a woman's-woman, whilst equally being 100% a man's-woman. Why/how? Because she is so totally comfortable in herself and who she is, she feels no need whatsoever to people-please either gender. She just is and it just works.
If you don't know much about VBH, then (a) listen to the pod RIGHT NOW to find out, but (b) and in essence, she's a female car journalist/racing driver that shifted into TV presenting and now does all three hugely successfully. And I say 'female' not to state the obvious, but because its prevalent. The UK car industry and the UK media industry is heavily male-dominated; I know this first-hand from my own experience in it. That's not to say women aren't working in it, they are, LOTS of them, and in truth, they're the people making it all happen - the doers - but it's the men in charge, calling the shots, and as a woman in the industry, you know it and you can feel it. Always.
So for a woman to achieve what Vicki has achieved (and for her to have done it so unapologetically/naturally and whilst always being a huge champion of women) is remarkable.
Vicki is remarkable. It's the only word I can think of to describe her. She radiates positivity, drive and passion - for life in general - but also for her career, and her story simply had to be told on TWW.
