When I asked (on social) for input regarding who I should interview - what type of roles - particularly in male-dominated fields, you didn't disappoint. And one of the first was a request to interview a driving instructor.
One lady in particular (called Sarah) suggested it and said she'd considered it for a long time, but just wasn't sure... She thought it might work well a a single mum and was keen to know more about it from someone doing it day-to-day.
Challenge accepted, Sarah.
A quick google search of my local area and I found Laura. And what a brilliant find she is!
Not only have I sorted who my daughter will learn to drive with in 3-years time, but her approach and her diligence is absolutely 100% aligned with the TWW values of hard work, commitment to cause and strong morals.
Because Laura could do her job with a lot less effort, and I'm in no doubt hundreds (maybe even thousands) of instructors out there do exactly this.
But she doesn't. She keeps meticulous notes to make sure every lesson is as effective as it can be, and she tailors every lesson plan to the student's unique learning needs. Which is pretty amazing, right? Particularly when you consider she's been doing this for over 17-years!
Hopefully there are thousands of driving instructors out there with Laura's same approach (most likely female, too, right?), but for now, let's focus on Laura's fab story.
