59: Meet Katie: A holistic Reflexologist and complimentary therapy guru

Updated: Oct 15

I somehow managed to pod a Reflexologist during 'Reflexology Week'... No I didn't plan it, and in truth, I wasn't going to put Katie's chat out today; but when she told me of the week's them, I was like: 'Ooh, better get those search term algorithms on it with this one'!

Katie's story was so moving to hear, because even though she sounds super lovely and chirpy - which she is - she's had a pretty tough time of it. From struggling at school, to her mum becoming terminally ill, and then ultimately losing her battle with Leukemia when Katie was in her early 20s, and then having her own fertility struggles in her 30s... Is a lot.

So it's perhaps no surprise that Katie has looked for answers beyond the conventional, and that she's drawn to 'heal' at a root cause level.

In the chat we cover off reflexology for (peri)menopause, for fertility, and indeed what it can do to lower stress and anxiety, which in turn means lowering cortisol levels; and if you're on social media at all, you'll know that Cortisone is a hot topic right now, not least because of how much it ages us prematurely.

Katie is very much starting out on her 'professional' reflexology journey (although has been practicing it privately for friends and family for over 20-years), and she's already keen to make her mark with it, and try to help it become more mainstream - and available on the NHS - which I for one, would be a big supporter of.

Enjoy.
