I do like to keep it in the family... And when I podded (award-winning) Garden Designer, T.J, a few month's back, and we discussed her sister, Jody, I knew I'd pin her down, too.
So I did.
We waited a bit, because Jody was finishing her degree and wanted to be a fully qualified Herbalist when we chatted, but even so, WHAT A CHAT!!!
Having done the first edit of her pod (as I write this), I am pretty sure it's still at about 55mins, which is too long or TWW - however - there's so much good stuff in it: About childhood influences, terrible school career advice, sibling influences; how significant motherhood demands affect career prospects, and about completely re-starting your career in your 40s... And that's before we've even got to the world of Herbalism and the role it can play in all of our lives, but particularly the complimentary role it can play alongside conventional medicine; which is something Jody is HUGELY passionate about, along with debunking silly myths and stigmas.
We chatted for nearly an hour and half, and even that wasn't long enough... There was so much more to be discussed.
It's always such a privilege doing this job - these chats - and everyone's story is always amazing to hear. But certain people leave me with a deep sense that I need to go back for more. Right now, as I'm evolving TWW, I don't know what that means/what that looks like, but I do know that it needs to happen. Some stories really need more airtime.
Please please please give Jody's pod a listen; I promise you won't be disappointed.
Enjoy.
