At the time of reading this you will hopefully know that we've made some changes. If you don't, head to our socials to find out, or click here to read Chops's blog post.
TWW times are definitely changing, which meant it was important for the first pod of TWWork to be different.
I've got to be honest, it didn't take my brain long to go from that thought to Simon, because even before I knew I was going to change tac with TWW, I knew I wanted to (and would) pod him. I just didn't know how or when.
It's the reason a year down the line I hadn't (yet) podded a female hairdresser - and trust me, I've received lots of recommendations and requests for female hairdressers to be podded.
Simon's story is brilliant, irrelevant of the rebrand. He's a work-hard-play-hard talented hairdresser with nearly 30 years of experience. He's also a proud, but reserved gay man, and he talks through his gay journey candidly and eloquently during the chat.
The fact that he's also MY hairdresser is almost irrelevant... I'm simply lucky enough to be in his stratosphere... As my new short 'do' can attest to.
Going forward you can expect to see and hear pods from all genders, even couples (shhhh, you heard it here first), as we tackle the full spectrum of working life, along with all of it's challenges.
But for now, once again, welcome to TWWork, and please make some time to enjoy Simon's story.
Enjoy.
