If you haven't already listened to Nick's chat, please do, because when I say he has a great voice, he really does. He's an Aussie who's lived in the UK for over 20-years and for the past 5 years has flown and worked in the states a lot, so his voice reflects all of that... It's cool!
... It's no wonder that he has his own successful podcast, AND gets (paid and) asked to stand on stages around the world talking to large groups of people.
Nick was always ambitious, and super-clever... Even back in our media house days when we were all mucking about and having a good time; Nick was on his own path, on his own mission.
And that mission has seen him go on to work for some some pretty big corporations, and ultimately into the acquisitions and mergers, and private equity game. I won't go into that part of things here (not least because I don't really understand it), because Nick explains it in the chat.
Nick's journey into scaling and exiting business, started with a need to change what he was doing, and therefore attending a Tony Robbins event on the recommendation of a friend. However, it has since taken him far and wide since then, and he is now paid mega BIG BUCKS to advise global corporations how to scale and run either start-up investments, existing business, or manage businesses to exit and sell. I really wish I could afford Nick to come and help me with TWWork.
In this Break Room, which Nick kindly spared the time for (as an old friend), I quiz him as much as I can for advice on what to do right, what to look out for, and what to learn from the most, when starting and running a business.
We discussed A LOT, and far more than I've included in the chat, but as I say at the end, I wasn't too worried about editing this one, because Nick has his own podcast which is FULL of all of his insight and knowledge. So you can simply go and take a deeper dive with him, yourself.
Huge thanks to Nick, who really didn't have the time, but made time for me, and for this chat.
Chops x
